The Bible and the LGBT Experience Jan. 25-Feb. 15

What does the Bible really say about homosexuality?  We’ll examine the common texts used to criticize gays, lesbians and bisexuals and in that journey discover new ways to understand these ancient texts and their importance to our contemporary lives. Facilitated by Rev. Samuel Schaal.

Dancing with the Divine (Process Theology) Feb. 22 – April 4

In seven sessions we will explore the world of process relational theology through stories, parables, prayers, songs, diagrams of God and the world, conversations with process theologians in texts, and study.  Process theology suggests that we live in a thoroughly interdependent universe and that everyone and everything is dynamically interconnected.  The sacred is known in the processes of living and is deeply embedded in creation, not a separate force outside nature or our experience. Some reading is required for deepest understanding, but you do not have to know anything about theology to gain understanding from this interactive approach. Facilitated by Rev. Samuel Schaal.

New UU Workshop This class will welcome, orient and integrate new members into the BAUUC faith community. It addresses who we are and what we believe and gives newcomers a chance to examine their own personal stories in the light of our UU tradition and heritage. Topics include UU Theology and Worship, UU Roots, Philosophy of Religious Education, Social Justice Philosophy and Practice, Governance and Polity, and Membership.  Contact dlre@bauuc.org for the next scheduled workshop.
