"Multiculture Week
Multiculture Week: Our Children's RE Summer Curriculum is gearing up for another great summer of multicultural learning! Every Sunday from June through August, we'll learn about Costa Rica, Nepal and Slovenia. We'll also have our Multiculture Week Camp from July 15-18 (9:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.). What do children in Nepal learn at school? What religious beliefs do they practice in Slovenia? What do they eat, what songs do they sing and what do they do for fun in Costa Rica? Open to children 5 years old through rising 5th grade, Multicultural Week Camp exposes children to a different culture each day and an extra special program on the fourth day. Families are invited to the Thursday evening open house. Camp Fee: $75.00 for the first child, $50 for additional children in the same household up to $175.00. Fee includes snacks. After care is available until 5:00 p.m. for $10/hr. per child. Early drop off begins at 8:00 a.m. To register your child, contact our Director of Lifespan Religious Education Patti Withers at dlre@bauuc.org Deadline for Registration is July 12. Register early…space is limited to 30 children.

Child Dedications: We will have a ceremony to welcome and recognize new infants and young children in the congregation during the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday June 2. The Dedication ceremony will include a blessing for each child and a ritual in which the members of the church will welcome these children into our church family. Together we will promise to support and nurture these children in their spiritual lives. For more information, contact Patti Withers at dlre@bauuc.org

On Sunday morning June 2, we will share half of all non- designated offering donations with Bay Area Turning Point. BATP is an important community resource which provides housing and services to women and families who are the victims of domestic abuse. In May, our Share the Plate Offering raised over $700 for the Boys and Girls Harbor. In 2012, BAUUC donated over $7,000 to local charitable groups through these shared offerings. Please help us support Bay Area Turning Point on June 2.
