Food Donations for Bay Area Turning Point
Each year, Bay Area Turning Point offers shelter, resources and support to hundreds of our neighbors in the Clear Lake area who have been victimized by domestic violence and sexual assault. For many years, BAUUC has supported Bay Area Turning Point by going out to local Kroger stores on one weekend in November and inviting people to make donations for the group’s food pantry. Because of Hurricane Harvey, BATP decided to not hold their food drive this year. So this month, we will be holding our own church-wide collection of food donations to support Bay Area Turning Point. Please bring your donations of non-perishable food items with you to church on Sundays December 6, 12 and 17 and place them in the collection bin located in Cockrell Hall. Needed items include flour, sugar, canned vegetables, canned meats, canned beans, canned fruit, and Bisquik mix. Together we will be making a difference in the lives of our those in our community who have been abused. Let’s show them some love!
