6th – 8th Grade Connections:

The focus of this year will be on bonding, trust-building and forming a youth community that will mature through the Middle School Years and be a strong platform for our youth as they move into YRUU.  Youth will design their own curriculum, emphasizing UU identity, personal spiritual practice and living in community.

High School YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists):

The six pillars of Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU) -fellowship, social action/ community service, intellectual growth, worship and leadership development -  are central to time spent together on Sundays. With guidance from the Youth-Adult Committee, youth determine topics for worship and discussion, and plan social events throughout the year. Caring and dedicated advisors assist the youth as they explore together what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist. In addition to time spent together on Sundays, members of YRUU participate in church services, community service projects, youth rallies, Houston UU cluster activities, and summer camps. Please see our youth website youth.bauuc.org or contact our youth director, Megan Riordan, for the most current youth group information.
